On April 18, 2018 - Whittier College invited Angeles Emeralds to come speak at their first Green Rush discussion.  The school of business hosted a presentation and panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities of the Cannabis Industry in Southern California.

Angeles Emeralds co-founder Jonatan Cvetko, gave a presentation on the Economic Impact and Politics of Production and Distribution of commercial cannabis.  Questioning the viability of the current LA County market with only 16 of the 89 jurisdictions currently licensing to any degree, he shared the progress and future steps Angeles Emeralds is taking to ensure a viable successful regulated market in LA County.

Joining him were Angeles Emeralds members Joe Papa, an expert in manufacturing and extraction, co-owen of Black Sheep Extracts and John Bowman, cultivation expert with over 20 years experience specializing in Sun Grown Cannabis.   Both shared their knowledge with students during a panel discussion answer questions on best practices and techniques for success.

Professor Duran who helped spearhead and organize the discussion, said afterward that he had "heard from several students who said that it was the most informative and engaging event they have been to in recent memory and that it stimulated their interest in both careers and research."

We are grateful and proud to have been invited to participate.  Thank you Whittier College for having the courage to be leaders in educating your students and the community on what the benefits of a regulated cannabis market can be.
