Delayed Again! Sheriff's Report Postponed Until April 11th!
Once Again, the Sheriff, District Attorney, and County Counsel, have postponed until April 11th, the requested report by the Board of Supervisors, to Close all Dispensaries in the county.
This is now the fifth time the report has been delayed.
As we continue the conversation with the Board of Supervisors we endeavor to show them all the other possible positive uses for the county that the proposed $25M can go towards
We are encouraged to see them listening and continuing to delay their original plan. Shutting down dispensaries just prior to allowing them to apply for future licensing that the Board has already set ground work for, is a terrible policy. It does not promote transitioning operators to a regulated market.
While this is progress, we are aware of several instances that dispensaries have received letters threatening closure. We are looking further into the matter will provide you with proper guidance on responding should you receive one.
We will continue to fight to protect our community, it's members and all the many patients who need safe accesss to their medicine.
Stay vigilant, we will continue to provide you with more information as it developes.
